my bass poo doesnt like to get syphoned or netted.

how do you guys gravel syphon big rocks and big poop?

i got the same problem. i add power to my syphon, i connect the end of my syphon to the end of a filter (a my canister) and it sucks in the big bass poop. then the poop gets into the canister and the water goes right back into the tank 
Since you're going to a new tank, you could install a grid system below the river rocks. Use the "egg crate" like below fluorescent light fixtures in an office. You can get it at Home Depot, Lowes, or any hardware store. Then you just siphon from the box you've made.
