A common with uniform spots all over the body and on the fins? Dont know what it is but quite sure its not a common.

It's a hypostomus species. Not sure which one, there are too many that look like that.

I'll have to watch this thread I have three of those... I have had them for awhile and they havent seem to grow past 5"

Looks to be a hypostomus plecostomus, but as stated above, there are several species of hypostomus that look identical to this species.

they are easier to tell as they get older
