I was at a LPS and saw a fish that was labelled scorpion fish and was 79.99. I doubt that was the real name because I can't find any info on this fish online. It was a bottom dwelling fish that looked kinda like a angler. The fish was freshwater and was dark in colour and was sitting in the corner of the tank in a fat ball and just his eyes sticking out to see if any food goes by. this fish I was told has a venamous bite. Does anyone have any clue as to what this fish is really called???? I believe they are also called rock fish or something???

scorpion fish is a saltwater species it is a bottom fish that is usually very dull and camouflaged for grabbing fish from the rocks. This is a purple variant but I think you can get the idea
