Yea, the hose connects on one side of the bar, and the other side is plugged. There is 2 holes in the PVC that lets the water flow into the bioball boxes. The bottom is drilled for another bulkhead that the pump hooks to.

I have a cheaper wet dry but is just as effective... It is the thing hanging from the ceiling above the big pond it has about 20 gallons of bio-media in it and a prefilter in the top.. about 800 gph move through it and it keeps my water crystal clear....

Here's the one that I built from an extra 29 I had laying around. The bottom is lava rock, the middle has bioballs and filter pad goes on top of the drip plate. It's on the bottom level of an iron tank stand so I had to make it look professional, or I would have never heard the end of it from my wife :D.

Pump and Overflow are rated at 1200 gph...I wanted about a 10 x per hour turnover. Water quality is pristine. I've had things like 8 rays in there to about 20 medium to large fish in there when I had to take down another setup with not even a trace of ammonia. I do water changes every 1-2 weeks depending on what the test kits say. I gravel vac once a month and flush the filter once every six months. I will never go back to canisters again, LOL.

CHOMPERS!!! Did you happen to buy that lot of tanks and equipment off of Ebay for $500??

Hope we don't get a hail storm :nilly: ( I know...NOT FUNNY HUH?! )
Do you think you should leave them out in the rain?
Maybe you should face them all upright and catch rainwater to raise mosquitos (tadpole condo's) :D
On the plus side 'no more lawn mowing' :headbang2
Puts you up to about 2000g + ponds don't it?
How come they're not stocked yet?, whatshisface said you can cycle a tank in 2 hrs.
If you started them all at once I bet you could hear the ammonia spike :screwy:

whatshisface said you can cycle a tank in 2 hrs.2hrs? my best record is two days and that was using a cycled filter. And I thought I was the king of cheating :(

And it was too far for you to drive anyway. I thought two hour across the state was bad enough. I would only consider taking it across the country if I could get it all in as carry on baggage :D But I think the flight attendants would think something was fishy...get it...fishy.
So you are the jerk that cost me an extra sixty bucks:irked:

LOL! Sorry boss... Had I of known you prior to this post, I would have at least helped you get everything loaded. (For a small fee of course!) LOL! Just kidding...

This is my super cheap filter that I use for my 150. I have thought about going bigger but the only fish are 2 red devils and 2 texass at 2'' long and a great big common pleco. The pictures are kinda dark so you can't really see it, but that's a Quietone 6000 and man does it move some water. You can see the scrubbies in there. This filter keeps the water super clear and my water has been testing flawless since I got the the filter cycled (about 3 months).
