my snakehead doesnt eat anything dead and i want to train them to eat any prepared food coz it's hurtin my time and my pocket ,,can someone help me how to train them they are already 11 inch in just a month I got them:(

Pare, maybe you should starve them for a week and then try pellets/freeze dried. Try it and see what happens.

drop the feeders in one at a time. train the SH to strike at anything that hits the water. then substitute the feeder with shrimp or beef heart or what ever you want to use.

i tried this method using pieces of shrimp with my old SH. at first it would bit the shrimp and spit it out. but after a a few feedings the SH ate a piece shrimp. and from then on i could feed it frozen food.

i agree with starving them. i had to starve my red for about 2 weeks to get him off feeders

thats a good strategy. i used i with my old royal clown. it trains them to know that you are the source of the food. throw them in at the same place every time so they know that is where the food hits the water. then starve them 3-5 days. hell even for a week. then throw some thawed food in where you always do. just be patient. they'll come around to eating dead food.

Food coated in garlic also helps grab the fishes interest.

I intentionally put that because my glass is just 0.25 inches thin:( ...And its like they're are freakingly:nilly: bumping around trying to break the glass whenever they are startled:irked:

One day when I was suppose to go to work, I put dried shrimps to feed my plecos, till I saw one of my snakes eat the dried shrimp:nilly: I was so happy to see that moment! now when the other snake see the other he also take a bit of it...Now 2 of my 3 snakes eat dried shrimp...till one day I decided to put some cichlid pellets (everred) with shrimps and it is also eaten:headbang2

awesome lookin snakehead !! im still tryin to train my s-h to feed on chicken fillet. o they actually eat pellet ?! are u serious ?
