just sharing some pics of my Pseudodoras niger ..

here are some old pics when he was still in my 180 gal last dec 2002 :)

unfortunately, its pretty difficult to take some more pics of him since he's usually hidding at day time.. pretty active when the light are out though :)

Wow that has got to be the biggest Niger cat I have ever seen pictured. Great job its obvious you are doing something right.

i got it at around 10".. there weren't any smaller ones available here in the Philippines at that time :)

growth rate would probably be about 1" per month..

wow, very cool..! a lfs has one in a rather large display tank that they have had for several years now that is every bit of 33 inches, might even be 3 ft.... he is a monster! cool looking when they get that big!!

thanks, their pretty mellow.. they don't really fish with any fish :)

i'd say they are great for community tanks.. they don't really bother any of their tankmates except for the occasional gossling for possition where tankmates might get hit with their spikes.. they also feed on pellets so no competition for food if you've got predators with them :)

haha, close but no :nono: .. this guy actually just eats pellets and an occasional shrimp or mussels :D
