Ok I have a 55 g. with 9 clown loaches max size is 3-4 inches. Any idea how many I should put in there? I have no problem getting a bigger tank for them, they will go into my 125 when they get huge. I do 30 % water changes a week just because I like to so build up of crap is not a problem. So, any thoughts on the number I should go with?
P.S. Petco has them for $4.99 right now.

My petco has them for 3.99, but they are always really small and have ick.
I would say you could go wit at least 15, just be sure to overfilter and treat with prime. Keep temp at 80 or above.

OK, well on a 55 g. I have 2 emperor 400's so that is more than sufficient. I was hoping more like 20 of them but 15 will work for now. I use a dechlor with alo though and do a little salt treatment once a month just for good measure. Sound good? Oh and when I feed them I use zoe, zoecon, garlic extreme and a vitamin c additive with a heavy load of spiralina and feed zuccihni once in a while. Blood worms, mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, shrimp pellets and flakes. Does Omega really bring out the color?

You have to get Omega One flakes. They really are the best food, they use real fish instead of fish meal. They use whole salmon, and salmon skin is loaded with carotenoids, which enhance color. Get the Omega color flakes and the omega veggie flakes, you will not be disappointed. Also, I feed Hikari carnivore, loaches love this food.
