Lets post pics and videos of Payaras! Talk about the best care and your experiences feeding and caring for them!
I will go first with my collection of pics i saved from the interent and this site! That pic of the school was taking at the georgia Aquarium i am very excited to find out about there school of red taails and if they actually have been growing, if they are growing at 1 inch a month the school must have some legendary fis in that tank, anybody been there recently!
This is a very cool older movie if anybody missed it on med sized Hydrolycus Scomberoids poping off some feeders from DangerousDan UK Awesome fish seller!

I have 4 red tails Hydrolycus Tatuai! They are growing fast and very cool, aggressive and ferocios eaters! the biggest is at least 10 inches, i am trying to grow these guys out to be 2 feet and hope to get me a few armatus as well!
I also have 12 hydrolycus Scomberoids all between 6 to 10 inches doing fine still on live feeders though, but very healthy and very cool!
Please post everything about Payaras would love to see some full tank shots, feeding pics and video also would be awesome!

Did you contact George and get on the waiting list. As much as I can see you are really into Payaras you won't be disapointed....

I have a possible line on small Armatus! I will keep everyone posted if i can do it! Thinking on jumping on that big one that hit LA last week, he is 12 inches! Just 600 is a big hit since they grow so fast i would rather get a few smaller ones!
Joey can you post a tank shot!

Sweet vid, my payara is just getting over ich ( dont ask ) Shortly he will be getting his own tank with high current. Its realy amasing how fast they are isnt it? One thing that really shocked me is that their 'canines' are hinged, did anyone else notice this? His one canine was folded back into his throat after a feeding shortly after i got him and i thought great, here we go im gunna have a one toothed monster, But a few minutes later he was back to normal. Your fish deffinately eat well, i cant believe the way the one P. stuffed himself in the vid. Chris :headbang2

Hey bro, So what ever happened with your possible hook up on Armatus? That would be awesome if you can score some smaller ones at a decent price. Keep us posted. Thanks.

Hi man hows you Payaras doing. I just have a school of red tails. I have been asking and it is definetly harder than i thought to pick off The Armatus. There was some for sale in LA a few weeks ago for 500 each over 10"!
The smaller Armatus would be awesome since they really do grow alot faster than red tails! My red tails only grew about 2 inches in 8 months, where another red tail i have been keeping track of grew twice as fast!

Jeff great fish man i was wanting to ask you, did you starve him to get him off live feeders and do the silversides do you just drop them in front of them. Does he eat dried krill.
I have a few reds that are getting really skinny and wont eat anything but live feeders and that means expensive day feeding always.

The rest i tie silversides on my fishing rod and wiggle them to get the payaras to strike.
