POP EYE SUCKS!! Treat it ASAP!! Or it'll definately loose that eye!! Hate pop eye! remove it from the other fish also....contageious....not kewl at all!!

In my old 33 one of my German Blue rams got pop eye. It was nasty. Definitely not good. He started to recover from it, but then later he was killed by some of my other fish... Isolate that fish and treat it ASAP.

Damn, I did a quick check and the 3 top listed causes I found were infection treated by antibiotics, copper poisoning treated by massive water changes, good diet, and prayer, and finally excess blood gasses caused by supersaturation of gasses in the water treated by reducing the aeration of your tank and temporarily lowering the temp of your tank a few degrees. The only other thing it said was that if gas bubbles are visible in the eye they can be remove with a syringe and very fine hypodermic needle. I have never had a fish with popeye so can't vouch for any of this.
