My local fish store is advertising a handful of different size arowanas apparently caught in argentina what type of arowna would that make them? and what is a good price for them?

im not aware of which one inhabit that area
but since its in south america
it could only be silver or a black

Do you have pics? Tough to say which one, there are three that are naturally occuring in SA, silver and black arowana, and the arapaima, but I doubt they were pimas, as they get too big, so most stores don't stock them, and those that do, don't stock many.

heck man...if u go to bangkok, the lfs the stock pimas by the 50's

Yeah, but around the northwest US, it isn't common to even see pimas in LFS, let alone multiple ones.
there does seem to be a lot of blacks about at the moment, maybe you should check it out

a lot of blacks? are u sure? is it the season for aro blacks now?
haven't seen any offered in my lfs for several years...then again i'm in Indonesia...quite a distance... :P
