Sump tank info

sweet thanks guyz, does anyone know how the overflow works? i am a newbie when it comes to making my own filter so if someone can give me some driection that would be great.
 
Here my home made filter thats going on my 240 Should work great cuz Its is right now on my pond of 1600G but on the pond its 220G drum along with 2000G pump have a similar on for the tank but with 18g rubbermaid bins Fits just right. and i do have 4 of them as well in the plans. piping going to be hard.

I gotta say this looks really good! I could see this working well! are you using differnt size media in each drum? Ie: lava first, gravel second, sand third kind of thing?
 
K1 or Bioflo media Should work just fine. Someone has lava rock one but havent heard much from him in months, Oh and get a settlement chammber frist ... that was the 4th bin added to this.

Another think is on the Bottom drain, u don't have to have it coming out the bottom ... u can have a side valve which goes in and as long as its aiming at the bottom should work. Hope it works for the Tank... just have to get a pump that match the flow realy good... cuz the bins are going to be under the tank u might get over flow on the last drum or first... so it might get little tricky.
