So i was just about to go to bed when i decidedid feed my silver aro and bass one more time, i was out of shrimp so i thought id feed him my faithful alternative when i have nothing in the house... roasted turkey. He loves that stuff but i truely discovered how much he loved it about 10 minuites ago. I usually break it into long slender pieces to dangle in the tank so i grabbed a strip and took off the cover and there he was waiting for me.

Before i could even dip the turkey in the water, in a wet spashing flash he had leaped out of the water latched on the turket and fell back in the water with a mouthful!

I was amazed and shocked......... now i got a fish that does tricks.:headbang2

I've one silver aro jumped to the floor and died although the tank was covered, but without weight. Be warm, jumping is the no. 1 most common causing death of the arowana. :chillpill:

im gonna put a video up.... and i know about how dangerous a jumping arowana is..... there is a large light on top of the covers to the tank and i never walk away from my tank without the cover on. And when i get him to jump to eat its in the middle just so he cant fall out when he does.

i had what i called a "jumper kit" made out of plexiglass. it was like an extension so my baby silver could jump. i had branches above with crickets n stuff up in the branches. my silver n archer went crazy for them. i had to take it down once he got bigger tho. very cool n its what they do. its not a trick, its life for them.
