Hi guys.
I need advice.
Plans to build a large tank for my Alligator gar.

The planned size of tank:
Length:500 cm(196.9in)
width:300 cm(118.1in)
Height:120 cm(47.2in)

Grosstank capacity:18,000 liters(4,755gallons)

The tankwill be full of aerated Ytong. All walls. I only have a windshield.

Questions:

1. What is the appropriate thickness of cellular concrete?
2. What is the appropriate thickness of the glass?

Thank you for your answer.

120cm H requires a minimum 25mm or an 1inch.
As for the concrete as long as it is fixed to the floor and all rows and corners are tried togehter with steel rio, one row should be fine.

The problem with the bricks you want to use is that they do not have a cavity for the steel reinforcing.
I would look at a different type of brick that you could fill with concrete and steel more easily.

See JohnPTC and his 2400g, 5000g and 10,000g tank builds for more information on using concrete block and steel rio.

Cheers.

I assume that:

safety glass bonded with safety film. 2 x 15 mm glass. Total: 30 mm glass.

I wanted to know whether it is a little or a lot.
