ok NEO....
you can host the rest of my vids. =)
P.S I had to get two, because the place I got them...The poor little babies had their EGG SACS ON STILL...I wanted at least one to live....and now I do only have one. =(
Them having the sac on still, Doesn't that mean they had to kill the father to get the babies?

I've seen a video of a silver arrow breeder literally holding down the father arrow in a very shallow pool and prying his jaws open to release the hordes of babies. I imagine most arrow keepers follow suit; it doesn't look hard at all.
Nice umbee, much potential does such a beebee have :)

Nah those are farm bred and like P45 said all they do is open the fathers mouth and the babies come out.. ( they are mouth brooders)

i rased my aro from 2-3" to 22" then he jumped on the blackout i cryed that day
i almost quit fish keeping
he was my baby.

during water changers he would swim in and out of my fingers
he would hand feed krill . no eye drop or anything ,truely a prized fish rip

It's called nothing...
One of the two died long ago, right after I bought 'em.
They both where sickly looking when I bought them.
Then my bad boy died like a week ago I guess.
The festea just decided to pick and pick on him.
Then Mr lucky star FH decided it looked fun, so he joined in.
I power fed 'em and a day went by and they wouldn't stop.
Right as my bf was going to take him out, they had already finished him.:(
I give up.
Pussy ass ****er.

A note - almost all wild-caught silvers still bearing a yolk sac have been obtained through decapitation of an orally brooding adult (which tend to swallow whatever young they may have been bearing if netted) - typically via machete or the like.

you see that fish in my avatar THAT MY BABY!!! i grew him from 5 inches to a monster 26inches, unfortunetly that tank is sick he hasent eat in days and im very worried i dont know what is wrong with him and my other fish, my dad says they scratch against the gravel. He live at my dads house and i dont visit their very often anymore and he does a ****ty job taking care of him and he calls himself a "Aquarist" which is bull****. I do stop by every weekend to change the water and do maintanence. Looks like i might have to bring him with me when i get (i hope ) my new tank. The first step would be to diagnose and treat whatever is ailing my tank. maybe i might just give back my other fish after theyre better and just keep the arow that way i can focus all my attention on him. For 3 years ive had him.

xpain,
?
Whats to explain?? Wild Caught Silvers are caught by killing the mouthbrooding father. Every arowana fanatic knows that. Its almost on every book about amazon fish.
Majority of the silvers that you see on lfs are farm bred in se asia so you dont have to worry about that. :)
