Guys, with one of my MFK friends i might be able to pick up a black aro. Obviously, before i do so, i want to know whether it will suit my tank. Ive got some bigger eels, a dat and some plecos and smaller polyps in there. Will they co-exist? Should i worry about my 9" polyps when the aro is about the same size? Will the aro outgrow and eat these polyps in the short run?
And what about the water: my tank has quite some current. will a black like this or do they prefer slow moving water like other arrows?
Any suggestions?

im not sure about the amount of current but the tank mates should not be a problem. If you are getting him at 9" he should grow fast provided proper tank size, just keep him well fed and he wont bug anything else.
you should be fine. my black aro who is about 17" wont eat my 5" poly, or even a 2" albino cory. blacks are pretty laid back compared to silvers.
