you can certainly grow them out in a 30g tank, but eventually you'll need a bigger tank.

Maybe 3 Serreasalmus hollandi, or 3 of the Catoprion mento or bleher.

all depends on their size mate! if your getting small fry you'll be fine for 6-8 months, after that you're going to have casualities ;(

I have a 125 and a 90 with nothing in it (not even water). The only empty tank that is cycled right now is my 30... I had my jag in it til it got big enough for my 150

They're messy.
I had mine with some S.A. cichlids for a while.
I was surprised they all tollerated each other so well.

ummm bigger tank is your best choice you can put a gold spilo in that 30 lol

Assuming you're buying them at 1", the LONGEST time they could live in it would be a month..and even thats pushing it.
