Dithers

I'm not really a fan of most dithers like red parrots etc
Are bala sharks and tinfoil barbs good dithers for cichla?
On a side note I just got a 180g and I'm setting it up tomorrow

my bala sharks got skinned by my pbass. pbass were about 8-10in and balas were about the same

When I first got my bass they were heaps skittish... and I nearly gave in and bought some dithers... even though I really am not a big fan. Anyway I waited it out... got a stingray in the tank instead, and now they are 20-25 odd cm and not shy at all!

That is my experience in case you are like me and dithers were a last attempt
