i put this up in the other monster fish area but i think it prolly belongs here. do u guys think my dorado and red devil would coexist with 14 4 inch ps in a 180?

i wouldn't think so. i don't know anything about dorado, but the red devil might drive the ps crazy. might stress some of them to death. or the ps could kill the devil. either way it will not work.

Those ps would shred the devil, even though the devil is a BA fish, the Ps have BA teeth!

Didn't the people in the other section already tell you not to try it? This is a lose lose situation. If the dorado and RD are small the P's will get an expensive meal. If the RD and Dorado have some size on them you will find your P's getting their asses handed to them. I have owned all three with the Piranha being the least agressive of the trio and the Dorado being agro crazy fighting/killing machines. I see a zero percent success rate if you tried this especially in a 180 gallon which isn't going to house those 14 p's until adulthood.

i think this cobab would lead to a nice meal for u 14 p's. unless ur dorados like a monster in size.

It is kind of common sense...
Three aggressive fish, some with teeth, it’s just a plan for a disaster to at least one of the three groups...
Piranhas are wimpy in temperament usually, but that does not change the potential damage they can cause from them teeth. Red devils are the opposite, where they do not have the teeth work, they have the attitude. And as for the dorado, we do not even need to get started really...

my reddevil wouldn't even last with my 9 pirahas. i was stubborn when i first got my P's. i wanted them to have tank mates. its not worth the try man, death awaits anything in a piranha tank. only thing alive in my tank right now as a tank mate is a freakin pleco. but i dont have plans for him to survive.

Agreed. My pleco has always destroyed fins. one time they got a different pleco from the bottom and hollowed it out leaving the armour. pretty cool.

I have huge issues with trying to get other fish to coexist with my p's. I have tried everything over the years and the only success i have seen is a pleco here and there given many hiding spots. Everything else has turned into food real real quick!!!!! Don't do it..... play it safe and you will be much happier that you did.

If that dorado is over 7", he will be having piranha for dinner!
