6x2x2, i got it last night its in a 4ft atm while i set the 6x2x2 up. will be in there in couple of days

I've never heard of any way to tell the sex of butti's by physical characteristics. your best bet is to try venting it. :thumbsup:

Iam also guessing female because it still has stripes at that large size and if it is a girl it will lay eggs sooner or later confirming that.:grinno:

My guess is female also. males usually have less indentation around the vent area, as well as larger jaw structure.

Either way, your butti has a cool circle-pattern thing going instead of the usual parallel stripes.

was just checkin out this thread and when i loaded up the pic i was surprised to see what i think is our buttikoferi "butters".my partner purchased him yes him not her in november 2007 from malaga aquariums.is this possible? did you sell it?
