Hi i was watching tv and heard a splash and didn't think to much about it then about a minute later i went to go check on my two baby peacock bass and one was gone. i looked around the tank and found him on the ground. i grabbed him and he was still wiggling so i pump him back. now his gils are moving but he's just sitting on the bottom of the tank. Will he survive?????

This just happend to me with one of my bass. He was out of the water alot longer ther 2 mins though. He was dry to the touch. But I got him swimming and breathing again. He did great that night into the next morning, then he really slowed down and started to bloat. From what Ive researched he got a bacterial infection because his slime coat was messed up. Just make sure you add salt and if you want to be safe put him in a QT tank with an antibiotic. But if he gets a bacterial infection his chances are really slim. So just keep an eye on him.
