Well fellow Cichlaholics I must say my little Xingus have proven in a short time to be quite resilient and voracious creatures. I know Cichla are serious eaters but out of all my specimens, I have to say my 5.5in Brokopondo and these 2 2in Xingu have to take the cake. They have already grown 50% or better, so I added a 4in Bristlenose pleco, 5 1.5 to 2 inch Red Hed Tapajos and a baby festae to their grow out tank. Initially 2 weeks ago I thought the Xingus were 2 small for tankmates, but now they are clearly a bit larger than the geos. The timing worked out for me because I had to remove my festae fry from their mother and I put them in a grow out tank w/ the cutteri I bred also.

Pics tp follow, had to charge camera battery.
