Hey guys I have a small peacock bass around 5". Can someone please explain the difference from the kelberi to the orino? Doesnt matter to m ewhich one I have, iv just noticed there seems to be more than one kind of peacock bass. Is one easier to maintain than the other? Can someone please give a few bullet-points?

as i am no expert, but from my expirence i have seen not much differnece in the up keep of them as long as water params are on point and wc are regular. but as far as the orino and kelberi go only main difference is pattern, and size i think the orino gets larger(in length) then the kelberi but i am not an expert and may be far off... so dont take put it stone from my point

His temp usualy hovers around 78-80, he will be moving to a much larger tank soon once hes at a reasonable size and off live foods. Will the slightly cooler temperature have any real negative effects aside from possibly slowing growth rate?

at 5" 78-80 is too cold....up that temp and his health will improve as well as his appetite.

Damn my heater went out several weeks ago and my growouts are swimming in cold water. I hope I don't stunt their growth. New heater came but had to return it because it was cracked. Replacement better get here soon.
