due to some recent financial changes in life... i may be able to aquire the tank of my dreams in this lifetime after all. i am really interested in building a tank that can house around 2 dozen full grown cichla... along with some other like aro's and some choice cichlids. but around what size tank would i need to accomplish this?? thanks

2 dozen plus cichla would need atleast a 1000g+...full grown cichla that is. Keep dreamn....unless you really came up big :)

Go for a 500g, that's what size I would go with. since you guys have basement in the eastcoast and no earthquake, I would go all out. lolz

I can see half the size of the setup that Mike at H2O had holding 24 full grown Pbass plus a bunch of aros ,so my vote goes for 2000 gallons give or take , unless you are into that JDM crap and want to see them packed like sardines.

the tank you see behind me in my avatar is a 365 gallon that i built. so i would have to make that seem small to acheive my satisfaction this time around. and like i said, house a large school of cichla of all different strains. so i am guessing its safe to say 1500 gallons would be enough???
