Hi guys,

is it possible to keep cichla in very small groups of 2-3 ? Or do they need large groups of >4-5 individuals?

How many Cichla do you keep in your tanks?

I'm not asking because i plan on getting them ( don't have the right tank) but i want to hear what you guys say ;)

I say it's up to you but like broken said you just need to add another 1 and another 1.

SN: I have had plenty of 2 cichla set ups but im sure you will want more. GET THE BIG TANK!

hahha i love cichla! I have two together so far so good just lil guys 4 inches or so. But i have 3 smaller ones im trying to grow faster to join the others.

i agree with broken i buy them and buy them then i have a tank full and realize i swore up and down i wouldn't do that again now ive sold all but 4 these are my keeper fish im building a tank around them this time a bit of a different approach

3 or more, I have 5 in my 150 and 5 in my 240. When the 360 comes in, hopefully the smaller azuls will be big enough to mix with my kelberi. If not then i gotta keep fattening them up =]
