So, i am looking at making a tank 3'Lx3'Wx30"H.
This is still very early design phase so no build any time soon, but I have a few questions.

Is 3/4" ply sufficient or do i need to go 1". I know 1" is better if I can but if I can get away with 3/4 I will.

I assume .75" glass, this will be a corner tank so they will but each other.

Also, this is a awesome site, been following all threads for a few years now, just drooling and daydreaming, now it finally looks like this is going to become a reality.

THanks in advance for any help.

Also, considering using possibly 2x4's to frame the seams, (also used to frame for teh glass, any suggestions going this route?

At 3' high you want to frame the whole thing in 2x4's, if not build a shell out of stacking 2x4s and then sheeting em with ply.

I would just do the whole thing in 3/4 ply and at 30 h you should be able to use 1/2 thick glass but if you want to go thicker it won't hurt anything but your wallet. Any particular reason you dont want 4' on your length and width?
