What's the best hydrometer out there. And what's the best setting for some figure 8's. All I did for my 29 gallon is add aquarium salt for the 29 gallons and then an extra scoop

Don't use aquarium salt, use marine salt. Aquarium salt is just NaCl but it doesn't have the other stuff that brackish and marine fish need.
I prefer the floating hydrometers, and that is what you will need since your SG is really low right now. The swing arms aren't that accurate.

i agree ...plus you really would not want to pay for the best anyway they run somewhere between 80 and 150 dollars

mine was 4, it works fine, and has a built in thermometer. You're keeping brackish not a reef, so it isn't that big of a deal except to keep the BB happy and healthy.

Hydrometers suck. They are not accurate. Get a refractometer.

Refractometers are way better, but its only for his 29 for his Figure 8.

I agree!!! I use a refract and it is on the money accurate!!! My hydro was off .03! I bought my refract in a group buy for 50.00. Well worth the money!!!
