Okay, this isn't a thread about feeding a leopard gecko to a Pac-man or them fighting. I'm currently in the process of getting my first reptile and it's really a toss up between these two. I definitely see a number of positive traits that I would appreciate with each and I would just like the opinions of people that have owned one or even both of them. :D

well if your not getting a snake...
to be honest fica if you can house either of them perfectly well then id go for the gecko cause i think you'll find them more exciting

Pacman frogs scare me to death, I dont know why but they do. I would go with the gecko, just because he would move around more and you could play with him rather than the pacman frog trying to eat fingers and or your hand.

I used to manage a pet store and I ordered all of the reptiles so I have had first hand experience with both of them. So I would go with the leopard gecko, pac man frogs are really neat and they can eat really big things but that's about it. Leopard geckos seem to have more of a personality.

Leopard gecko, and do your research!

The leopard gecko will definitely warrant more interaction and personality. The pacman is essentially a mouth with eyes (hence the name). However, if you're content with a fat frog that eats anything it can fit inside its mouth, then you could really make it a very naturalistic home with live plants, etc.

Wooo, thanks for the insight peeps. I was definitely leaning a bit more towards the leopard gecko just because of the whole interaction I can have with them. I've done plenty of research but I'm sure there's a lot I'm gonna learn along the way. Thanks.

just get the gecko. I have one and have seen that they are much more enjoyable b/c they are
1. easier.... wont have to keep him as misted(except when shedding)
2.More of a "friend" b/c u can handle them, as u will see b/c they get REALLY tame and actually like being held.
3. and if u have freands over u can impress them with that personality.

I'll admire snakes from a distance for now. Picked up the little leopard gecko today. Saw him eat a little cricket when I brought him home, but naturally, he's still a bit shy. He even bit the girl at the pet shop. I'm so proud. Named him/her Bannister. :D. Think it's still too young to sex as of now.
