I am currently in the early planning stages for my next pond, going to probably be something in around 10,000 gallons. On my previous builds I have always used Dow 795 to seal my acrylic windows to the pond, which is made from wood covered in epoxy resin and paint. I am wondering if one of the GE Silicones might be a better, and cheaper, option for this build. I know to avoid Silicone II because of the chemicals. Has anyone used GE Silicone 1 to adhere acrylic windows to epoxy resin? I notice it says it adheres well to glass, but doesn't list acrylic.
The other one I am looking at is called GE 100% Silicone seen here:
This one does say it adheres to well plastics. Just wondering if anyone has had experience using either of these on similar builds, and if I should consider them or just stick with Dow 795. Thanks.
