I have have two bichirs, a palmas and albino senegal. They are great fish no matter which species you get. All of them are tough as nails and are not picky eaters. Plus they'll typically leave other fish alone as slong as they can't swallow them.

I have a Bichir and it dose really well with all my fish. i have heard about agresstion to own specis but not eatting there own.
Bichir agression is a pretty rare occurance, as far as i know. I have 3, all different sizes from 4-8 in. They all get along fine, but it is a large tank with plenty of hiding places. As long as you give each one plenty of room, you should be alright, even though they will all hang out together any way... but like always, it depends on the individual bichir.

Bichers are awesome.I would suggest them to anyone. They range in different sizes making some of them suitable for tanks like a 20 long.
