RO does not take eveyrthing out,
RO DI machines take everything out...
You do not need anything in the tap water for ur SW tank... it causes nuisance algae...

u need a TDS meter, u want a 0-5 reading, on ur total dissolved solid meter..

everything you need for saltwater is in the mix. there is reef salt mix and regular salt mix.
The regular salt is for fish only and the reef mix is for reefs.

I have an RO DI unit. It's awsome. I have pure filtered water then add salt mix equals happy corals. The biggest thing is RO DI takes out phosphates and Nitrates wich are bad for a salt tank.
