So I was just reading a back issue of TFH and they were saying that in most parts of the US you can give your tropical fish an autdoor vacation in your pond for the summer... how many of you do this or would do this with your beloved monsters... they would grow at an unbelievable rate... but what about disease and predators how do you deal with this almost all outdoor goldfish from what I have heard here usually get anchor worms... ideas and would you do it? :feedback:

They will get spoiled and start bugging you for a trip to Maui for next year.

I would not do it in a pond that was dug in the ground but if it was some sort of other manmade pond that I could closely watch over I would consider it. I kept my turtle outside all summer one year...a bit different then a fish but I was still worried about him at the time.

If I had an extra tank or the room, I would consider giving my pond fish a vacation inside my house during the winter months. They tend to simply hibernate or sleep or whatever the term is during the winter months here in Cali.
