View Full Version : Birchir compatability
Can i keep an Endy, ornate and delhazi birchir in a 150US gallon, 60x24x24" tank. Other tank occupants will be 3 African pike, and afew synodontis cats.

as long as their about same size at the beginning go for it but i would say keep an eye out for bullying and make sure everyone gets their fair share of food and every bichir has their own personality so provide plenty of hideaways
yeah, it depends on individual temprement, but i would guess they would be fine if they are of the same size or close to that.. take note though that endlicheri's can grow to 24" and ornates to 20", but the delhezi only about 14" or less so their might be a problem with the size difference when the time comes ;)

actually different bichir can be kept together no problem. Size also does not matter, it only matters when it goes really hungry.

ya i have read that if they are to small and the other is bigger, the smaller one will be eatten so make sure they are all about same size
