Does anyone REALLY know how to sex rbp`s? Heard alot of different things but dont know who to believe. THX.

you can't tell a female, apart from a male but there have been ppl saying that a big stomach is usually a sign of an egg-bound female, but this isn't always the case, it could just be internal parasites

i agree, piranhas are NOT sexually dimorphic. However if you happen to watch a breeding pair for quite some time you will be able to spot the female from the male. But at the beggining you are just guessing.

my old rpb bred in a 20l for 3 months they bred, never could tell them apart
i geuss u have to look for the egg shoot thingy

When they get to about 8'' plus most females are little thicker or more beefy than males,but its still a guessing game your best bet is to get the bigest tank you can and keep as many as you can and hope they pair off and males will start building nests and start fighting for a space of their own in the tank thats just my 2cents good luck
