got myself a BEATIFUL breeding pair or nic's today,the male is about 6" and the female is about 3-4", the tailipa i have will be going tommorow or tuesday,he's been nothing but a pest since he's been in the tank,constantly chaseing fish and eating plants,a friend of mine who owns a pet store will be takeing him,i was going to put him in with my oscars but it would just be a sin to the talipia,he's a great looking fish but he has to go,he has my female nic drove crazy,he's not doing any real harm other then a a few nips but the nics where on my wish list for a long time and the tailipia was just one of those inpulse buys,I also bought a good few new plants.i'l get some pics up asap

i'm related to ALOT of the people in witless bay,my dad and the rest of his famliy grew up there,i'm from St. john's but spend alot of time up around there
nic's are awsome, pete i knew you have them,was waiting for your reply:popcorn: they are quickly becoming one of my fav's aswell
i bought 2 x nics today as well.mine are only 2 inchs at the moment.showing stunning colours already.no pics yet i'm afraid.

One of my favorite cichlids also, I have a nice a pair I caught in a local river here in Hawaii, same river also has RD,convicts,Johanni mbuna,Hemichromis Elongatus etc.
