Picked this up last night. 72"x36"x20". For my motoro pair. I won't get to setting it up until after the holidays. It will take me awhile to make the stand, plumbing, etc. Will post pictures as I go.

Thanks. Santa wheeled it down the driveway on a dolly and then had it put it up on it's side to get it through the door and downstairs.
Been saving my lunch money for awhile...

Yes, it is acrylic. There is an acrylic tank manufacturing company about 1.5 hrs from where I live that made it. I'll dig around and find the website.

Finally got the tank set up on Easter and rays moved in. Last thing to do is add some trim work around the top and more sand. The rays love it!
This is the company that made the tank: http://www.marineeco.com/

BUMP old thread.. but anyways.. What lighting and sand are you using?

How much did it set you back? Very very nice.

spotfin

Lighting is 2 normal output fluorescent lights. They are 36" All Glass brand strip lights, each has a 24" bulb. Sand is Estes brand Ultra Reef Marine Sand, beige color.

I think the tank, lids, and built-in overflow boxes where around $1300. I built the stand, sump, and did most of the plumbing for another $200 or so. Enjoyment of ray keeping: priceless.

Bump for an older thread. Let's have an update.

What pump are you using in your sump? Curious what the turnover rate is.

Return pump is a Mag 12. It's rated for 1200 gph, so I guess the turnover rate is about 1000gph.
