Well, they say 1 tsp/5 gallons (i have no clue what this would look like in ppm). i have a couple swords in different tanks. One of my tanks is -SG 1.005- ,,. For the first 2 days the swordtails in this tank were flipping out, now they are acting normal, so my question is do any of you keep swordtails in brackish water, if so, at what specific gravity? Can they handle 0.015?? sorry im asking such lame questions ;}

Brackish is 1.008. Swords should do fine in less but will even do more. I'd say 1.005 tp 1.010 would be best. The salt thing should have said 1 HEAPING T per 5 gallons not 1 tsp. Dan

Brackish is anything from 1.001 to 1.0199 IMO

Swordtails will do fine in light brackish and fresh water. Other livebearers such as mollies and guppies will do fine from 1.000 all the way to 1.023ish (full marine)
