somewhere in the middle atlantic ocean and you could only use one lure to use for the rest of your life, you depend on it for your only food, fish, what would you choose?????? rod and reel are your imaginary choice. no cheating you cheaters, pick ONE LURE ONLY

i would pick a yozuri crystal minnow, probably the most effective lure made imo, all fish eat it. what about you?

3/4 ounce Rattlin rap, by Rapala in chrome /blue will catch everything! Second choice would be a small bucktail jig!

I could probably survive with this DD lure. The salesman told me it was "multi-purpose". Not quite sure what he meant by that.

mine is also a yo zuri 5 inch crystal minnow. The yellow and green one. It destroyes everything. Even after almost all the paint was gone I still use it and kill fish. Second choice would be a gold spoon. They catch alot of fish and last forever also.

I would go with this bad boy big lure big fish;) . Ok joking apart I have always done well with Clown type lures silver or white body with the red head so would probable go for that but not being the most experienced salt water angler I thing I would starve.

Since it's salt... I'd go with a bucktail jig with a pork strip trailer... Still one lure! :)

And if I don't catch 'em I can eat the pork strip! lol

how about a heavy action spinning rod spooled with braided 50lb line, a package of 1/2 oz bell sinkers and 2 dozen 1/0 hookes, some wire leaders and a medium action spinning rod spooled with 8lb line, some split shot sinkers, a dozen size 8 baitholder hooks and a 3/8oz rooster tail(that's my one lure):nilly:
but in reality i'd settle for a 200yd spool of 15lb line, my pocket knife and a flint.

<but in reality i'd settle for a 200yd spool of 15lb line, my pocket knife and a flint.>
how is that cheating? i didn't even pick a lure. i can make hooks out of twigs with my pocket knife and some line, sinkers out of rocks, bobbers out of pieces of wood and i can start a fire to cook the fish with the flint and my knife. ha guess i win :p
