What kinda space would be required to keep a warmouth or two?

warmouth?]
type of sunfish, big mouth and aggressive
1 would do well in a 20 high for close to two years maybe more as he/she should be 4-6in by then, 30 long for life
Well, that'll make the wife happy. I've been making noises about a 120-150 gal. tank for natives, but if I can do 2 warmouth in a 55, my dream tank can happen much sooner (and cheaper!)

Neg... Florida Warmouth, reason I know is because I kept a few from my casting net adventuring and started learning about them. The sizes I've seen I don't think I'd try anything smaller than 55gal for one guy long term. Mine all did very well in a 120 with other Souths and Centrals. They tend to just "hang out" but will show some serious facial war paint and muscle if challenged. They have a very awesome preditorial mouth structure shaped primarily like a largemouth. Body shape I would say closesest resembles a huge sunny without the such pointy mouth or maybe a northern rockbass. The fish is pellet trainable but I found it to be much easier in a shallow tank because of the fact that it liked to just chill at the bottom gettin a lil R&R. Great looking native and seems to be a gentle muscle bound guy.
For a pair for life I 'd go at least 55g. Like blue gill they can easily get to 10" long.
