It always amasses me when you catch a small pike on a huge lure well this is why.

Im gonna have to say that its a pike....its more greenish than a muskie and it has whitish stripes and spots like a pike...just my opinion though.

I say Musky, due to the vertical bars.

Younger pike sometimes have the vertical bars too

It looks like a musky but it can also be a younger pike due to its horizontal stripes

still looks like a young pike to me. as you can see the pike isnt that big and young northern pikes have that stripe pattern. looks nothing like a musky.
lol that vid is definetely not a pike or a musky, its either a tiger musky or a grass pickeral

I would say tiger musky....which is a pike AND a musky. Based on the size of everything else that would be one big grass pickerel.

Really are incredible fish. For the people that thought that was a muskie or pickerel I think you need to get out fishing a little more.
The striped tail says it's definately a pike or pike hybrid. I would personally go with northern, because they tend to have a more striped pattern when there small. Typically anything under 24". Also Its important to point out that there are many different locally predominant patterns for essox lucious.
