Nice job! I keep catching the pilot fish off my dock, but I have no where to store them for you. If I get a decent crab trap, I'll save some.

can you catch em off new jersey
I bet you could catch them. Sounds like they are fishing in the bay though cause there is no eel grass patches off the ocean beaches. I used ot go seining for bait fish and came up with some pretty cool stuff. Once we caught a 6" barracuda, but mostly we caught sandeels and spearing (silversides).

I cant belive you can just go out and catch a whole school off fish and then putt them in an aquarium, especial young fish who are the future breeding population. ! Its discusting. weather there common or not its wrong. If every body did that there would soon be none left ! leave them where they are. buy captive bred dont plunder the natural wild populations.
Nice catch! Catching your own fish is the best!

These fish if they arnt collected will die up here once the water hit's about 60F. They are brough here and droped off by the gulf streem.

Speak to commercial fisherman and don't waste your or our time here. You must be very young as your spelling is terrible. Come back when you have grown up and live in the real world. :screwy:

Indeed his spelling is atrocious. I could spell better than that when I was 6.
Fish Finder - I'm amazed you caught these in NY, I didn't know they were coldwater.
