Gar sizes

Yo what sizes do each species of gar grow to just need to know cuz im looking for 1 for my new tank

spotted get 1.5-2 foot. all the rest get bigger, except maybe shortnose. I think spotted is the only specie you really have a shot at getting anyway, for a reasonable price at least.

we got lots a florida gars here and ive seen spotted and alligator but ill be on the watch for shortnose ty
also are the shortnose gars just as mean and as good of hunters as the others.

Well depends on what u call mean... but being garpikes they are aggresive and are definitely great hunters. Btw i think short nose (platostomus) is the shortest and not spotted (oculatus) at 23 and 47 inch respectively for max size.
