Used2bebubbles.. Aren't you on Simply?? Your screen name sounds familiar. They do have a nice metallic blue green sheen to them, but my light does wash out the green part and intensifies their blue coloring. I have white/blue combo going.
Thanks everyone for the kind words.

Yup, I am on Simply, too, and I've seen a lot of your posts there, too.
Well, whether the blue is intensified by your light or not, I think they are great looking discus.:headbang2

Thanks Cariba for the kind words..
Rust, I'm not sure swapping out two discus for another two would be the answer for agressiveness. It might even intensify it since you are bringing new fish in and your red pidgeons might have "a my home turf" attitude. I think discuses do better in groups of 6 or more. It spreads the agression around. Good luck with them.
Here's one more pic.. My snakeskin.

i don't know about you guys but i like the green variety. tiger stripes just look cool.
here's a dumb question though, :screwy:
let's say a certain individual, me for congruity sake, want to make a 300 gallon river tank and add a couple of discus to said tank. and per chance i would also like to add a giant gourami. how do you guys feel the discus would fare?
they'd probably get ripped to shreds right?

rust9000 - beautiful setup, even i can't wait to see them fully grown
if you keep discus with Giant Gourami's would that just be a major waste of money (and a couple of healthy discus) or would they pretty mush get along?
cause that would be awesome to keep, they're my two favorite FW fish
