Can a pair of leopoldi and a pair of tigrillo castexi co exist together?
Has someone tried this before? Any aggression between the two?

Jesto, where are u from?
imo, as long as their size difference isnt too big, it is ok.
i am only worried if the size difference is too big, the smaller one may get bullied and deprived of enough food for it to grow healthly..
Thanks again guys.
They will be all the same size about 8".
zhuangsw, I'm from the Phils.
Chris, I will get them this weekend :)

Shouldnt be a problem Jesto .They all say not to mix leos and motoros with the more delicate rays ( flowers, tigers ) but its really a case to case basis. It depends on the individual ray. Show pics when everything is set up.

I agree and disagree with David on the identification.
They are not tigrillos. I don't think they are castexi (they don't look like motelo or otorongo either). They look like some of the Peruvian motoros that I have seen. I once had a similar pair. Just my guess.
Good looking rays none the less.
Congratulations,
Colin

I am no pro at ID'ing rays, but they look like Motoro sp. Peru to me as well.. If they were a castexi variant, I would imagine my pricetag would be alot higher than them.. How much did you pay for them? I have 3-4 left right now.. One has a nice purple shade to it ;)
Group shot of Motoro Perus.. all the same fish, different variants.
Those are not Tigrillos, they more look like Sascha Otorongos, anyway they are Castexi , and consequently very hardy rays that can grow very BIG
Thank you David. I also have my doubts but the importer said that they are Tigrillos so I will find out in a year or two :D Patterns are nice anyway :) Can you show me a picture of a Sascha Castexi?
They are definitely not motoros. They are 3 times the price of a motoro :D
