After a few set backs over christmas Ive picked meself back up and Tropical Imports are ready for a exciting 2007.

Hey Dan,
Got the fish settled in now and they are fine cheers mate. Going to let them get settled in for a few days before offering them any food. The Gulper hasn't stopped investigating ghis new aquaria.

Hey guys, the shipments in all pretty much safe a sound, theres a few additions and a few changes from the expected stock.
No small Gulpers im afraid, just 2 more big lumps :D
Some small trachy trachys turned up unexpected that might interest you Darren :naughty: Um sh*t load of Pygoprist. denticulatus, which are very nice shoaling piranhas. A large (12") catfish that I cant remember name of and cant be *ssed to look at mo (too tired)
Umm no zungoros but other than that its as order I think.

The bolt cats are smaller than last time so I'll sort the price accordingly, will pm you Sunday.
Got a LOVERRRRLY 14" (Approx) stugeon catfish come in as well.
Pics probly not be up to mid week due to work requirements.
Soon as I can ill get them up though.

I dont mind if the Bolt is smaller. That one last year that came in the same time as my Tig was a cracker though. Be interesting to see a photo of the Sturgeon Cat.

Peru f*cked up AGAIN and as a result all the tigs are dropping dead on me:cry:
It drives me f*ucking mad and Im close to calling it a day to be honest
i cant imagine how hard it must be dan.trying to do your best and the fish die through no fault of yours.dont give up mate :grinno:

great shame, its sickning when boxes of fish come in dead or just drop dead. When I used to work in the trade and we done a huge order of wild caught L number from Peru. 99% were dead and I was un packing box after box of dead stunning plecs. The stench of ammonia, yuk.
Any retic rays in the pipeline?

scale it down a bit or take a break for awhile mate.i know its not the same but my silver dat just died and my delhezi got stuck and died in my large internal filter.2 fish £50 down the drain.its no where near as bad as your situation,but,i felt like jacking it in.my fish are looked after like royalty and some people treat their fish like **** and they all live.

From Experience, working with high dollar fish can be extremely stressful..
Your putting up money and trusting in that your exporters and animals will make it to your tanks alive, and even then stuff comes up.
Don't get discouraged, and think about 'building a bond' with your exporter through hardier fish (Juruenses instead of Tigs?).. I know the big bucks are in the high dollar fish, but one mistake or missed flight could put your business under, trust me, I know.
Keep your head up, and don't forget that UK MFK'ers NEED YOU!
So are there no tiger shovelnose cats left now.

I have put a few photos of my 660 gal community aquaria on my Gallery. Couldnt work out how to stick them on the thread!!!
Schoolboy error of not cleaning down the glass after I had fed them. Will have to work out how to get a better shot as well. Never mind that can wait.
