Hey, I'd say he is about 2 1/2 -3 " tops. Nice looking fish though. The pictures do not do him justice.

I have to agree with all the others that you've got a nice Indo there. I believe the three stripes near the tail is a dead give away. He looks to be a little bigger than mine (he's the one in my avatar). What are you feeding him? Does he take frozen foods? I know mine started eating them like it was no tomorrow when he saw other fish chowing down on them. Anyways, cool pickup. Look forward to seeing more pictures.

Unfortunately he does always hide. I am hoping that will change with age. I don't see him eat too often which causes me some concern. I am feeding pellets and a frozen mix medely. i am actually looking for more ideas on what to feed him. He is in a tank with some pretty aggressive eaters but it seems like it isn't enough to get it to chow. It is the biggest fish in the tank but is scared of all the other fish.
I will try to get some full tank shots but all I have is my camera phone so the quality sucks.
Well I just tried feeding my Dat when the lights were out. man what a difference! He ate so much. As soon as the light goes out he swims around the tank. Are these fish somewhat nocturnal? Do they "outgrow" this behaviour or do I need to dim the light in the tank?

Nice pickup :)
Just give him abit of time and he should come out.
My guy did the same thing with the lights out :)

Well he was out swimming today and ate with the lights on. Hopefully he is coming around.

I know mine is still more active when I turn the lights out, and when no one is watching. I have noticed as he has gotten larger that he is slowly becoming braver. I will be moving mine into a 100 this weekend with a lot of rainbowfish to act as dithers. I'm hoping he will feel more comfortable in that tank and come out more.
