Best Lookin Species Of Pbass?

I am really into pbass...love them. Don't have any...yet...but am really wanting to get some! Personally, I think that Cichla orinocensis are bad ass!! Althought I am torn between several of the temensis species....What'cha guys think? Use pictures to support ur decisions!

Crushes? Isn't the mouth mainly made to generate the suction for prey capture? I thought the Pharyngeal teeth are the ones that does the crushing?

I've got 6 Cichla orinocensis coming from Rapps! Yay!! Can't wait! :D I'll post pics when i get the little buggas...literally little...2 to 3"...lol....

I dont know but I doubt it.

I think where those fish are caught everything is protected so that prohibits collection.

So everything is catch and release.

depnds which river system they come from nd which part....some are really varied. This particular one is from Sibapo.

yes-pissed!! all cichla will display blood-eye.....most commonly when showing aggression or feeding. As for the lil guyz....not sure other than orinoco river,but that could be any trib. or northern or southern local.....will be able to get an Idea around 7-12" when they start getting the adult coloration....my wee orinocensis are packing it on...will get yaz some pics tomarrow.

You'll always have pics of big temensis with anglers holding them....one of the biggest $$$ makers down there......hopefully if all goes as planned me and chad will be down there sometime next year :grinyes:

I don't check the photo forum much...lol...which is probably why.....goober!.....ahhhhh...yes....i member that...i just didn't see them...lol...hadn't put it up yet....that water sprite makes em feel comfy eh? I need to really get the plants goin in my tankz...lol. U know how urs have the silver/gold linin around the ocelli? mine sometimes have it and some times don't absolutely love it when they have it...so i hope they start keepin it more....:D

they will morph alot throughout their growing stages....have heard that they will fool you alot with the color and patterns as they grow.....other cichla do this ,but I have heard that these guys are esp notorious for it.
