Can anybody tell me exactly what this is and would you pay 800 dollars for it?
It is the ugliest fish on the planet!

LOL I agree. It is in the surgeonfish category, and a common name of these guys is Hybrid Tangs. Problem is, unless it is breeder direct, there is no way (unless you are just un-naturally gifted like that) to determine each animal it was bred with. I say each because if the parents of that guy were both Hybrids also - which I am guessing they were for him to display such coloration, then you get a mut, with no way to trace it's origions correctly. But yes, I agree, it's ugly, LOL.

You JUST NOW noticed that, LOL LOL. I was bored and hangin out at work over the weekend. I was being a nerd in our discovery zone and pretended like I was going to drink from the bottle. I have too much free time on my days off, LOL.

It is a Scopas tang hybrid.
It is ugly, but definitely not the ugliest fish on the planet.

The fish is not only a hybrid but it also suffering from HLLE head and lateral line erosion , yellow tangs suffer this due to poor water conditions its a nasty infection which eats away the head and lateral line area , only the top layers so the fish is left with exposed flesh it also damages the fins which is evident in that fish , really and truely a fish with HLLE should not be offered for sale .

Eww, that fish makes me wanna poo. Then wipe my but with it! Just saying, what a ugly thing....its like a collector fish that came out of the sewer! Wow, $600 sounds like someone want to rip someone off!:confused:
