I think it's a typo and that Joe meant to list them as TIGER Shovelnose Hybrid.
They are a niger hybred, very cool looking. They sold very fast and we only got 12 of them.
Hope to get more next week. They were not tiger hybreds, they were some other type .

Being that this is a cross what is the expected size of the fish? Do you have any in stock?

From my guesstimation I would say 20 inch max. This is just a guess though.

Whatever gets thrown in is eaten by all 4. Bloodworms, crumbles, earthworm sticks, chopped shrimp, baby crays, chopped clam, etc.

I know mines eating now. I put in a fair amount of cichlid flake, sinking cichlid pellet, an some tilapia fillet (chopped up small) an he had the big ole belly today. His color got a bit darker to.

Would like to get some. This is one of the very few pimlodid hybrids I have not kept lol. This one to me is very unusual because it is species from two totally seperate families!

FYI Dont keep them with fish small enough for them to Inhale. I just watched mine suck down acouple small comets an a few Ghost Shrimp:nilly: :drool: .
They can have some of the trademark traits of the TSN an go for anything thatll fit in there mouth.
An mines only about 6-8" ATM.
Figured id let people know. :naughty:

I'll have to take some updated pics of mine. My largest is about 1' now and smallest is only about 9-10" but the larger one is alot wider too. and they still eat anything.

Mine is a little over a foot long, seems to have stopped growing.Has a horrible time swimming, as though his spine is fused almost solid.
