I've been wanting some of these guys for a while. I came across a good deal so I couldn't pass up 5 CL for $1.99 each. Unfortunately, one of them already died, but the rest are doing fine and so much fun to watch.

My Oscar doesn't mind them at all. Plus, the more fish I add, the less water I have to put in.

Haven't been following this post, sorry. It took roughly two years but I do a lot of water changes and feed them mainly bloodworms, raw shrimp, and algae wafers (hikari). I will try and take a pic to post here later. They really range in size. Some hide a lot and some are more brave and are out eating more.

Just found this thread. I really don't know how many I have anymore. I think that you have more large ones then I have. :(
I am jealous, haven't been able to find any large loaches around here lately.

I may have more large ones, but you have a 180 dedicated to loaches. I need a 500, and about 100 loaches. Oh, and a house to put it in. Should only cost $175,000 for the tank, stand, filter, and house.

Haha! Know the feeling! Growing them out is the key. Mine have doubled in size in the last year - high protein diet does the trick, I feed little but often. Catfish pellets and bloodworm (frozen) are their favourite.
Sorry about the pic - it's been on here before, but you can see how fat my big one is....I think my Distichodus thinks he's a Clown loach too...
That's a sweet monster. I love the spot.
