Nice pick up for 10 bucks. How big is it?
I agree with polomax, they have a lot of color varients.

Definitely a snook, though I wouldn't have been able to tell you which one :)

about 5" how big do they get
According to Dr. Axelrod they get around 14" but he has been wrong before.
This is one of the color pattern varients.

Pentenia Splendida get 20 plus inches most know them as Bay Snook but there also called Giant Cichlid... Sweet pick up for 10$...

I read the male's get 18"+ the females get 12"+ but that fish has a big mouth holy sh** :ROFL:

Snooks have HUGE mouths....amazingly so. Its like a mouth with fins seems like. Pbass, Caquetia and Crenicichla are like their SA counter parts...with Caquetia bein the most similar in looks....aside from umbie that is...hehe
